SCE

The company was founded in 1993 by Eberhard Stahl as a software engineering office. Its primary scope was the development of intelligent scan workstation software based on UNIX for the high speed document scanners SCAMAX® made by the leading German scanner manufacturer InoTec GmbH.

In 1999 the company was transformed into a GmbH (limited company, Ltd.) and its activities expanded in several directions. The TwinScan software, a high performance Windows2000/XP scan client, was developed that supports all video-based and SCSI-based SCAMAX® scanners. Additionally the qualified hardware and software services for InoTec scanners were expanded to the area of southern Germany.

Since 1997 SCE works closely with Paradatec GmbH in the area of OCR/ICR (PROSAR, PROKEY), and later also in the area of freeform recognition (PROSAR-AIDA). SCE acquires customers, accomplishes the integration and offers the adaption (parameterization, definition of sets of rules) of Paradatec's products according to customer requirements and the necessary customer support services.

In 2004 the company moved to a new office where currently a staff of 6 members is working in the area software development, hardware service and project management for customer specific solutions.
