PROSAR-AIDA 2.0 - new Release available 2nd Quarter 2006
Paradatec is pleased to announce that the next release of our flagship product, PROSAR-AIDA, is expected to be available by early April, 2006.
As well as numerous on-going enhancements and corrections to the existing product we have been working hard on some significant new features, summarized below:
In addition to the usual pattern-based rules that are used in the table analysis module of PROSAR-AIDA, we have added the ability to use calculation rules for table columns. This feature provides rule tree developers with the opportunity to significantly increase the accuracy of table recognition and data extraction.
PAGE ORIENTATION DETECTION
Documents are often scanned in orientations that OCR technologies are unable to process, for example the pages may be accidentally scanned upside-down. PROSAR-AIDA 2.0 will be able to detect the rotation of a document in the scanner, and automatically correct it so that OCR can take place. This therefore removes the need for rescanning of these documents.
MODULES AS SERVICES
From release 2.0, all Paradatec modules can be started as Windows Services. This will enable many users to meet their system architecture and security related requirements.
MULTICORE PROCESSOR SUPPORT
Release 2.0 of PROSAR-AIDA will provide optimized support for multicore processors and multiprocessor systems.
Among the general enhancements made to the OCR engine, from release 2.0 it will be possible to use recognition alternatives on known search patterns.
The release will be available for download in the support area of our website, for our integrators and customers with a valid maintenance agreement.
